What activities will be arranged in this conference?
CHINASSL2009 concerns the future development and negative influence brought by current international financial crisis to the SSL industry. The event will discuss how to utilize new opportunities to facilitate the industrial development from aspects of technology, patent, standards, market, capital, design and industrial alliance. You can get details of conference activities through Conference Paper List the organizing committee has issued and the Conference Agenda to come.
 
Who will attend the conference?
Usually our attendants consist of manufacturers, franchisers, purchasers, education and research institute, investment and consulting enterprises from industries related to solid state lighting at home and abroad. And leaders, experts and corporate elites from associations, academies and governments are also our participants. You can get a general picture from "Name list of Registered Participants (partial)"
 
Is CHINASSL2009 an international conference?
Colleagues from 13 foreign countries and regions attended CHINASSL2008. The number of oversea participants took up 23% of the total. Conclusion of CHINASSL2008.
 
About registration
1. What is the procedure of registration?
1) Submit registration form through online registration system (recommended), E-mail (recommended) or fax
2) Make payment
3) The organizing committee will send you a confirmation letter after checking the payment

What channels can be used for registration?
1)  Online registration (recommended)-hit the relative webpage and finish the registration.  Online Registration
2)  E-mail or fax (recommended)-download the registration form from our website, fill the blankets and then send it to us according to the contacts on it.   Download the Registration Form
3)  Phone call-registration by phone call is also accepted. Please contact +86-10-51727119/51727115
4)  On-site registration-you could take on-site registration if your decision for participation comes later than September 30th 2009.However, in consider of guarantee of your rights and convenience of our work, we highly recommend that you register before September 30th 2009.
Note: People who take on-site registration will not have any preference.

What are the key dates and venues of the conference?

2) Key venues
Conference venue: conference rooms on the 5th/6th floor of Shenzhen Conference & Exhibition Center (there is an escalator between the 5th and the 6th floor, so we recommend you go directly to the 5th floor first.)
Venues for registration
Registration venue 1(for general attendants): middle hall on 5th floor of Shenzhen Conference & Exhibition Center (please follow the on-site directions)
Registration time: 9:00-18:00,October 13th-14 th; 9:00-12:00,October 15th
 
Registration venue 2(for special guests): lobby of Building A, Shenzhen Wuzhou Guesthouse
Registration time: 9:00-21:00,October 13th-14 th
Note: The conference badge will apply real name identification in this event, so please bring identity card with you for saving your time on registration.
 
Meal venue: Shenzhen Conference & Exhibition Center (please see the instructions on the meal tickets.)
 
4. What tickets do we need for the conference?
1) Conference ticket: Attendants should wear conference badge (which is the pass for attending conference.).People without badge will not be allowed to enter the conference room. (For information collection and better service, we will apply bar code scanning system at the entrance of the conference rooms.)
2) Conference meal ticket: We will provide our attendants with lunches and dinners (from Oct.14th to 16 th).Attendants will be given meal tickets when register. Please show the tickets to service people when it is meal time.
 
5. How can I know if I have registered successfully?
 After you register and make payments (We recommend you send us the payment proof by fax.), we will contact you by phone call or e-mail to confirm your information, after that you will get from us a confirmation letter, which you should bring with you for registration on site. If you don't receive any confirmation from us a week later, please call us directly.
 
6. What should I do if the web page goes abnormal when I register?
If the web page goes abnormal when you register, please confirm whether you follow the right procedure of registration and refresh the page to register again or seek secure internet access to log on our website again. If it stays abnormal, please contact us by phone.
 
About payment
1. What payment terms can I choose?
If you register before September 30th, the payment terms you can choose include bank transfer, cheque and
Cash. For on-site registration, both cash and credit card are accepted.

2. Are there discounts for registration fee?
1) 10% discount for registration before August 31st 2009
2) 50% discount for students' registration
3) As usual, members of China Solid State Lighting Alliance get preference
4) More than10 people attending conference together will be regarded as a group and get preference
Note: People who take on-site registration will not have any preference.
 
3. Can I receive invoice after I make payment?
If you register before September 30th 2009, we will send you the invoice by post after we check your payment. The arrival time varies due to the distance between our cities. If you register on site, we will print the invoice by machine, which will definitely prolong the time you spend on registration, so registration in advance is our recommendation.
 
4. How can I get a refund?
If you can't make presence for some reason after payment, you can demand a refund before September 30th, but we will take away 20% of the total payment as our service fee. Please note you can't demand a refund after September 30th 2009.
Note: If you can't make presence for some urgency, it is ok that another person takes your place to attend the conference. (Please inform us in advance so that we can amend the registration information.) or you can make your registration fee the deposit for our other events.
What rights and interests can attendants get?
1) Conference through ticket
Access to all conference rooms, food & beverage, refreshments during all activities, interpretation, conference materials (compact disk is included)/material package, name list of attendants, etc.
2) The 6th China International Solid State lighting Forum
Access to the conference room of the forum, food & beverage, refreshments during the forum, interpretation, conference materials (compact disk is included)/material package, name list of attendants, etc.
3) Sessions
Access to sessions you choose, lunch or dinner and refreshments during the event, interpretation, session materials/material package, name list of attendants, etc.
How do we deal with accommodation and transportation during the event?
The organizing committee will offer 4 contracted hotels to cater for attendants' different demands. Please contact the hotel you favor in advance and you will get preferential price if you state you are a participant of CHINASSL2009.Please note the accommodation fee is at your charge.
 
From October 14th to 16th the organizing committee will arrange shuttle buses to transfer attendants between every contracted hotel and Shenzhen Conference & Exhibition Center. Your badge is your bus ticket. Please wait for the bus 10 minutes earlier in order not to miss it.

2. How can I win opportunities for sponsorship?
We have designed a variety of schemes for sponsorship which will make good advertisement for your budget.

3.Conference languages
In the 6th China International Forum on Solid State Lighting, System Integration & Application Session, 2009 International Standards & Measurements Workshop and 2009 OLED Lighting we will provide you with Chinese-English interpretation and earphones.
In 2009 Solar LED Technology & Cooperation Seminar, 2009 SSL Marketing Salon, Entrepreneurship Summit for SSL Companies and News Release of New Technology, Equipments, Products & Materials the conference language is Chinese.
In 2009 International Short Course on MOCVD Technology you will have English-Chinese consecutive interpretation.
In Material, Device & Equipment Session the conference language is English.
 
4. Earphone claim
During the event, attendants can claim the earphone for receiving interpretation with relative identification. Please keep the earphone properly and return it on time.
 
5. Poster Presentation
Stick a poster: Poster Presentation will be arranged on the 5th floor of Shenzhen Conference & Exhibition Center.
Please bring and stick your poster up on October 13th afternoon or October 14th morning. The organizing committee will set up service platform on site.
For good communication, the organizing committee will put 2 boxes for name cards in front of posters, one for visitor's cards, and the other for author's cards, so please make sure you bring enough name cards with you.
 
6. Are there requirements on clothes for conference attending?
We suggest you be present in formal wear.
